In a world full of stress, bills, and responsibilities, many have fantasized about returning to childhood. However, the case of Stefonknee Wolscht took that desire to an extreme never before seen in the media.
At 52 years old, as the father of seven children and after decades of living a conventional life, Stefonknee decided she no longer wanted to face the demands of the adult world. Her answer was not a simple retirement or career change, but a complete age regression: she declared that her true identity was that of a 6-year-old girl.
To sustain this new reality, Stefonknee had to restructure her life from scratch. She moved in with an elderly married couple who agreed to “adopt her” as their little girl and provide her with the childlike environment she claimed to need:
- No responsibilities: Her daily life consists of coloring books, playing with dolls, and walks through the garden.
- Children’s clothing: She wears dresses with colorful prints, bows in her hair, and accessories typical of an elementary school girl.
- Complete care: Her “adoptive parents” prepare her meals, give her maternal affection, and allow her to live far from any kind of adult stress or financial worries.
“I cannot deny that I was an adult, but I no longer want to be one. Right now, I simply want to play, paint, and be the girl I could never be in my childhood”, she confessed in a revealing interview.
