His back legs no longer responded. The dog that used to run along the sidewalk could now only watch from inside as the world went by. His owner, in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, decided that this would not be the end of their walks.
With simple materials and a lot of dedication, he put together a custom handmade cart: a structure that supports the dog’s body, keeps him upright, and allows him to move forward as if his legs were still there. The first time they went out into the street together, the dog sniffed the air, turned his head, and for a moment became his old self again.
