Kamila Grabska swore that she could no longer lift weight, work, or play with her children.
A car accident in 2017 had left her, according to her, with a body broken forever. That was why she was seeking $800,000 in a personal injury lawsuit. The court heard her, reviewed the medical records, and was ready to believe her, until the defense produced a photograph that changed everything: there was Grabska, smiling, winning a Christmas tree throwing contest. As if that were not enough, surveillance videos also emerged showing her calmly playing with her dog, with no trace of the disability she had described.
In February 2024, the High Court dismissed the case entirely. It concluded that the claims had been exaggerated beyond reason. Today, the story is circulating as the perfect example of how a single image, taken outside any courtroom, can dismantle years of legal claims.
