This Thai restaurant owner in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, bought the establishment in April 2025 without imagining what he would find months later. A fire at the neighboring business left his kitchen without electricity for months, and when he was finally able to reopen and clean thoroughly, he moved an old piece of furniture that the previous owner had left behind. Inside a sunglasses case were 12.000 dollars in hundred-dollar bills.
The first number he had for the former owner was disconnected. So he did the only thing he had left: tell his story on local television. It was in the middle of the live interview that he remembered another contact saved under a different name, dialed it, and the man answered.
