Some people set alarms, others use sticky notes on the mirror. This person went a bit further: they tattooed an L on their left wrist and an R on their right, so they’d never again doubt which hand is which. According to their own post, the confusion happened to them so often that they decided to solve it permanently, and they say that “it’s great so far” and that “they recommend it”.
The photo went viral, and right away the account Bean Explains asked the question everyone was thinking: “And how do we explain to him which is which?” Because if he was already mixing up his hands without any help, a tiny tattoo doesn’t exactly seem like the world’s most foolproof solution.
On Twitter, the comparison didn’t take long: someone showed that they do the same thing but with their fingers forming an L on the car’s steering wheel, and someone else shared the classic L-shaped hand technique taught in school. In the end, we all get to the same place by different paths… some just chose the path with a needle.
