A funny moment starring one of Shakira‘s sons has gone viral on social media during the 2026 World Cup.
The singer decided to test her son’s football knowledge, and he surprised everyone by reciting from memory the champions of several World Cups. However, there was one detail that did not go unnoticed by fans.
When it came time to mention the champion of the 2010 World Cup, the boy left out Spain, the national team that won the tournament in South Africa.
The situation sparked a wave of jokes on social media for one very particular reason: his father, Gerard Piqué, played on that championship-winning team, and was also a starter for much of that historic campaign. And not only that, it was also the place where he met Shakira.
Users were quick to react with comments such as: “He knew all of them except his dad’s”, “Piqué has just suffered the worst defeat of his life” or “Shakira must be proud”.
Of course, it could simply be a child’s confusion. In fact, the boy showed football knowledge that surprised many fans.
