John Michael Quinn is 64 years old and went to a Managua courthouse to report his former partner.

Her name is Elizabeth Aracely Franks Davis, she is 26 years old, and according to the Prosecutor’s Office, she hit him with an iron rod on May 16, struck him in the chest last November, and even grabbed him by the neck in 2017. All of that is documented.

The oral trial was scheduled for August 25 in District V of the city.
But there is one fact that her defense put on the table and that completely changes how this case is read: the relationship between them allegedly began in 2013, when Elizabeth was only 12 or 13 years old.

Her family had arrived from Puerto Cabezas fleeing poverty and settled near the El Mayoreo market.
Thirteen years later, sitting before a judge, one accuses and the other remains silent about an origin that no sentence can erase.
Who is really the victim in this story?
