What was supposed to be a fun afternoon turned into a nightmare when a man was swept away by the river in the municipality of Tambo, Colombia. The group of friends had created an improvised pool, which gave way due to the strong current, taking one of the men with it, who disappeared from his companions’ sight.

The group had fenced off a section of the river to block the current, creating a kind of improvised pond. But none of them expected that the force of nature would be stronger and would destroy the rustic pool.
Amid his companions’ screams, one of the men simply disappeared into the powerful current, with no one able to do anything to pull him out. Dozens of witnesses quickly feared the worst, due to the great force with which the water dragged everything in its path.
A miracle no one expected
Despite how unexpected the situation was, dozens of residents immediately reacted and ran downstream to search for the person involved. Finally, after several minutes being dragged by the current, the victim was able to be rescued thanks to the help of several people who risked their lives to pull him out. And after being taken to the hospital, it was confirmed that he had not suffered major injuries.
Minutes after the video went viral, hundreds of people reacted against the attitude of these friends, assuring that nature is never something to play with, much less with such disrespect.
