She wanted to celebrate with Messi at the table. For her birthday, a user ordered a custom cake depicting the soccer player wearing an Inter Miami jersey. But, according to La 100, what she received had botched colors and proportions, a face that bore little resemblance to the reference image, and a shapeless model.
The video she shared on TikTok showed the order and the result side by side; the difference was enough to make the post go viral, according to the article. Messi’s figure was on the cake, although recognizing him didn’t seem to be included in the order.
And one TikTok reply found the most diplomatic way to sum up the scene: “it looks just like him, congratulations”. The compliment came with a wink; guessing who the cake was supposed to represent required more than just reading the order.
