Manoel Angelim Dino and Maria de Sousa Dino married on November 20, 1940.

For 84 years, they shared their lives and built a family with 13 children, as well as dozens of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Guinness World Records recognized them as the longest-married couple among living couples: the distinction went to a couple who were both still together.

When Maria was asked what the secret to their marriage was, she answered with a single phrase: “love”. Manoel died in February 2025, at the age of 106. The record was counted in years; the family they built, in generations.
