The violent episode occurred in Mar del Plata, Argentina, when a 22-year-old man was pushed during a fight that broke out after a traffic incident and ended up being run over by a car.
Witnesses’ cameras captured the exact moment the victim loses his balance, falls backward, and is struck by a white Peugeot 208 at the intersection of Primera Junta and Victoria Ocampo, in Playa Grande.
The young man identified as V.L. was taken to the Hospital Público de la Comunidad (HPC) with multiple injuries and was later discharged, while those involved in the fight dispersed and left the scene after the hit-and-run, and the reconstruction carried out by officers from the ninth police station determined that the confrontation would have originated from a traffic incident between the drivers of two vehicles.
The Justice system is investigating the case ex officio, classified as “Intentional injuries”, and authorities are seeking to identify the man who pushed the victim through analysis of the footage and witness statements, while the episode recalled other incidents of road violence that occurred in the city.
