Marc Cucurella has made headlines for how his family incorporates his son’s autism into their routine, and for how he has raised awareness of this situation experienced by so many families.

In that context, he was asked how his son handles going to stadiums with the noise and all the stimuli: “He doesn’t go to stadiums much; when he goes to Stanford Bridge, we have our box and he loves going”.

“The issue of the stands and all that is difficult; he doesn’t watch much of the match. It’s very hot here and that overwhelms him a lot. If all goes well, I think he will only come to the final”, Cucurella commented on June 11.

So his son has not seen the tremendous World Cup his father is having. Now, with Spain in the final, Cucurella will be able to have his son in the stands watching as his father has the opportunity to make history and win the second World Cup for his country.
