Erin Langworthy, a 22-year-old Australian tourist, was making a bungee jump from the Victoria Falls Bridge in Zimbabwe when the cord snapped mid-air. 😰

The young woman fell more than 100 meters straight into the Zambezi River, an area known for its strong currents and… the presence of crocodiles! And as if that were not enough, the impact left her so disoriented that the current began to drag her away while she was still attached to the cord.

Luckily, in the middle of the chaos she remembered some safety tips learned during a rafting session and managed to stay afloat. She was even able to dive underwater for a few seconds to free the cord that had gotten snagged below the surface.

That was how, against all odds, Erin managed to swim to the shore and survive with only a broken collarbone and some bruises. “I think it’s definitely a miracle that I survived”, she said. 🥹👏🏻
