Amid all the uncertainty, a simple ultrasound ended up giving them exactly the breather they needed.
Nicole Kim was expecting her third child when her family was going through an especially difficult time. Her husband had just lost his job and, with another baby on the way, worrying about what would come next was inevitable.
Then one of her prenatal checkups came around.

As they watched the ultrasound, they noticed something that made them pause: the baby had one hand raised and its thumb perfectly extended, as if giving the classic “all good” sign.
The coincidence seemed so perfect that Nicole couldn’t help interpreting it as a little message amid difficult weeks. She shared the image, and it quickly began circulating on social media, where many saw exactly what she did: a baby who hadn’t been born yet, but seemed to be reassuring its whole family.
To others, it might simply have been a hand movement captured at just the right moment. For them, though, it came just when they most needed to believe things could get better.
Months before they met him in person, their third child had already given them one of those family images they would probably tell stories about for the rest of their lives.
