Two Himalayan marmots got into a fight right at the edge of a mountain road.
Out of nowhere, something small slipped between them: a pup, much smaller than the fighters, stretching its little paws as if saying “okay, enough”. It didn’t bite or push hard; it simply stood there between the tangled bodies, trying to make space with what little it had.
The video went viral, and users didn’t take long to dub the little one the clan’s “family mediator”. Experts say this type of behavior may be a normal part of marmot social life, but no one on social media wanted a scientific explanation: they just wanted to see the pup getting involved where it wasn’t asked again.
