Salvador is only 6 years old and has a condition called recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa: his skin is so fragile that even a brush can cause serious wounds.
Even so, he had a simple yet enormous dream: to watch his Benfica play at the stadium. Someone shared his story on social media, and the club decided that this dream could not wait.
They invited him to the match against Estoril and had him walk onto the pitch holding hands with Rafa Silva before kickoff.
The packed stands rose to give him an ovation. Sometimes football is measured in goals, and sometimes it is measured by a child smiling while holding hands with his idol.
