Gleason’s Gym opened in 1937 and still stands today in Brooklyn, New York.
A video that went viral toured its facilities and showed some of the gym’s rules, with Delen “Blimp” Parsley, a trainer who has been associated with the gym for decades.

Blimp explained how the gym’s culture works. One of its rules is: “We don’t accept crybabies who don’t want to work or go running”.
Another rule caught people’s attention: nobody talks to a boxer while they’re training. No one interrupts someone who is focused on their work.

The gym itself is considered the oldest boxing gym still in operation. According to the Canal26 headline, Mike Tyson and 137 world champions passed through its rings.
Nearly nine decades later, the formula seems to remain the same: discipline, respect, and hard work. Do you think that discipline is what makes champions?
