Jordan Hendey, a 26-year-old entrepreneur in Australia, went through an ordeal after deciding to stop using steroid creams that he had used for more than 20 years to treat his eczema.

What began as an attempt to take back his life turned into a nightmare of “Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome,” which left him unable to walk, bathe, or sleep. His skin peeled constantly and he suffered extreme pain, forcing him to depend entirely on his fiancée, who became his full-time caregiver.

After years of struggle, Jordan has now achieved a remarkable recovery, transforming his pain into activism to warn about the risks of dependence on these drugs, an issue that the medical community still debates due to the lack of clear protocols.
