A photograph of 60-year-old Halle Berry sparked a wave of reactions, showing the actress with a very different appearance from the one she usually has in her public appearances.
In the image, taken by her 13-year-old son, Maceo, the Hollywood star appears during a family incident that ended up becoming part of a legal dispute with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.
“She looks so devastated” and “She looks so sad” were some of the reactions from users who were shocked by her appearance.
But the photograph has a sensitive context. Martinez accuses Berry of physically assaulting her son during an argument on September 26, related to a virtual reality video game.
The actress denies the allegations and maintains that the image does not prove any assault, since it only shows her standing with her hands in her pockets and some distance from the teenager.
The photograph alone does not make it possible to determine what happened during the incident.
Meanwhile, a judge authorized Maceo to testify regarding his father’s request for a restraining order.
