Saudi footballer Saud Abdulhamid went through an unusual situation that could leave him out of playing in the next World Cup, all because of the woman of his life.
After completing a great season in Europe with RC Lens, where he won the French Cup, he traveled to Amsterdam to celebrate his wedding with family and friends.
However, while he was enjoying the ceremony, criminals broke into his car and stole several personal belongings. Among the stolen items was his passport.
A huge problem because he had to travel to join Saudi Arabia’s training camp ahead of the World Cup. In the end, the Saudi federation and his country’s embassy managed to secure an emergency visa so he could be there.
