Some photographs hold special memories, but there are also others that deserve to be taken again many years later. That’s what Robb Scott, a father who shared a touching side-by-side comparison with his son on social media, did.
In the first image, he is leaning over the little one, who is still a baby. In the second, they repeat practically the same pose, although the child has now grown into a young man.
The loveliest part is that the idea didn’t come from the father.
“My son is always asking to recreate old photos. We did this one yesterday. Pretty good”, Robb wrote when sharing the images.
The post began receiving messages full of affection, with users highlighting the bond between the two and how much they had managed to preserve from that original moment.
“This is love”, one person commented.
And the father replied with a phrase as brief as it was meaningful: “It is”.
Others highlighted how they had managed to recreate even the lighting and expressions in the original photograph.
The years transformed the baby into a young man and left the father with new lines on his face, but one thing remained the same: the way they share a moment of affection.
A small family tradition that shows that growing up doesn’t mean leaving the happiest memories behind.
