His wife couldn’t hold their newborn twins, and this dad didn’t think twice about giving them the warmth they needed

Brennan Brackbill already knew what that first contact meant. He had experienced it before, with his daughter Victoria, when she came into the world in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Krabbe disease, a terminal neurodegenerative condition, took her at 20 months. Since then, Brennan and his wife Lesa had not had their arms full that way again.

When Lesa gave birth to their twins by C-section, Brennan didn’t think twice: he took off his shirt and pressed each one against his skin, one after the other, while the doctors finished the operation.

Photographer Erin Fortney captured the moment and shared it on the Birth Becomes Her page.

Lesa explained it simply: they could no longer hug Victoria, but they could give their children all the warmth that she did not have time to receive. 🧡
