In the lead-up to UFC Freedom 250, fighter Josh Hokit used his microphone to refer to Ilia Topuria’s ex-wife; no one could believe the outrageous thing he had said.
“Topuria is so angry because he’s so short that he can’t see himself in the bathroom mirror, and he married a stripper from Miami”, he said in front of the crowd, which couldn’t believe it.
Statements that did not escalate any further, but were a precursor to what would come in their respective fights: Hokit ended up winning his fight and Topuria was defeated by Justin Gaethje.
