Some feared he would drown and tried to pull him out, but his reaction was terrifying: he began screaming for them to let him go.
Once out of the water, things only got worse. He writhed, and people backed away without knowing what his next move would be.
“He is possessed. This is not normal” .
Despite the many interpretations from believers or even horror fanatics, the truth is that the man was suffering a psychotic episode. The incident made a clear problem in Nigeria evident: the ingestion of chemical substances.
