From City Kickboxing in New Zealand, he claimed that a trained human could defeat an adult chimpanzee in a real fight. He didn’t say it as a joke. He set a date —September 11— and put a price on it: $500.000 dollars to make it happen.
An alleged pay-per-view page and posters promoting the matchup are already circulating online, as if it were just another fight in his career.
Adult chimpanzees can have several times the strength of an average human, and their history with people is not exactly peaceful. Even so, Johnson confidently repeats that he could beat one in a fistfight.
No one has confirmed whether the event is legal, whether any governing body would allow it, or whether it is merely a strategy to go viral before that date.
