Layla May no longer fits into her usual measuring tape. The Australian woman said she is trying to gain more weight and celebrated that her abdomen had grown two inches; that part of her body, she said, is her favorite.
On Instagram, where she has 473.000 followers, she responded to those who accuse her of “glorifying obesity”: she maintains that she has the ideal body to wear a bikini. Her photos in tiny swimsuits receive messages of support for beauty at every size, as well as criticism of her choices. She also now has to use an electric scooter to do her shopping.
Despite the harsh comments, Layla continues to post the images she chooses and presents herself as a big, beautiful woman.
