Corinna Jodeit is 38 years old, a mother and entrepreneur in Wildeshausen, a city near Bremen, Germany.

In her official campaign poster for the municipal council, something shines around her neck: a gold necklace with the word “MILF” engraved on it, the same word popularized by the film American Pie in 1999.
MILF: a sexually attractive woman who has children or is in the early years of middle age (but in a vulgar way).

Jodeit is a candidate for the CDU, the party of Chancellor Friedrich Merz, traditionally associated with family and Christian values.
She admits that the term is “naturally provocative”, but assures that for her it represents independence and strength. She says that the necklace is ten years old and that taking it off for the photo would have been fake.

The local elections are on September 13, and Jodeit does not plan to withdraw her candidacy or give up the accessory.

She has received criticism from users who call the poster shameful, but also support from her local party.

In some campaign photos, she chooses not to wear it, as if even she were unsure how far to take the challenge.
