“I know it”. That was the short phrase with which Reese Witherspoon ended her most intimate reflection.
The 50-year-old actress spoke about her faith in an interview with Los Angeles Times. She said she grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, in an Episcopal family. As a child, she went to church on Wednesdays and Sundays, and sang in the choir for nine years.

For many, religion was a burden. For her, it was a place where she felt accepted: “I felt an incredible sense of acceptance. I believe we all have a gift, and that our purpose is to discover the gifts God gave us”.
That’s where her calm in the face of death comes from. Her daughter Ava recently asked her how she could be so sure about what comes after, and Reese didn’t pretend to have all the answers. She admitted that she doesn’t know what the higher power she believes in is, but said she isn’t afraid of dying.

For her, faith isn’t about having the answers, but about trusting that there is something beyond what we can understand. What do you think?
