Mike Tyson is 60 years old and still wants to fight. 🥊
In an interview with Bloomberg Television in Times Square, the former champion confirmed that his right hand—the same one that forced him to postpone everything—”is doing very well”. He went even further: “I’m really looking forward to it”, he said about the matchup with Floyd Mayweather Jr, which is still on despite the months of waiting.
The fight was first announced in September 2025 and was supposed to take place in spring 2026, but a fracture in Tyson’s hand during his training forced it to be rescheduled for the fall. Tyson even recently crossed paths with Mayweather and described him as being in great shape: “I saw the champion the other day. He looked good”.
Mayweather, 48 years old, comes in undefeated with a record of 50-0 and 27 knockouts. There is still no official date or venue, but Tyson’s words revived anticipation for a matchup many had already written off. ⏳
