She put them all in her car and from there recorded the video that went viral within hours. “It has been the most traumatic experience of my life”, she said in a trembling voice, “but I couldn’t save my life and leave my little animals behind. To me, they are part of my family.”

Ellos no son “solo mascotas”, son mis compañeros, mi responsabilidad y parte de mi hogar. Dejarlos atrás jamás será una opción; o nos quedamos todos y sea lo que Dios quiera o si nos salvamos, nos salvamos todos juntos. Pasaremos el resto del susto apretaditos en el carro, pero a salvo. Hoy mi corazón y mis oraciones están con toda Venezuela. Sé que el pánico fue colectivo y que muchos la pasaron muy mal. Le pido a Dios que nos cuide a todos, que proteja a cada familia, a cada persona afectada y también a todos esos animalitos que se asustan tanto con estos momentos y a veces no tienen quién los guíe o los resguarde. Que Dios nos acompañe, nos dé paz en medio de la incertidumbre y nos mantenga a salvo de cualquier réplica.
