Rosalía shared on Instagram a video of Mía Khalifa celebrating Argentina’s defeat in the 2026 World Cup final, with her own song “La Perla” playing in the background.

The clip featured a mocking phrase aimed at the Albiceleste team, and although she claims she only reacted to the music without reading the text, the damage was already done.

Argentine fans did not take it well at all. The singer is set to perform at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on August 1, 2, 4 and 6, and many began asking for refunds on their tickets as a form of protest.

Rosalía deleted the shared video and took to Instagram Stories with a brief apology: “I hit share because La Perla was playing, I didn’t even read what it said. My bad. Sorry”, she wrote alongside an Argentine flag.

Is an apology enough to repair the anger of thousands of fans days before the shows, or is the situation being exaggerated? 🇦🇷
