50 Cent told it in an interview with Big Boy TV, and no one expected it.
According to his account, there was a tour lined up with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and himself—a plan capable of generating more than 100 million dollars split among the four.
Eminem was the one who stopped everything. The reason, 50 Cent said, came from the rapper’s own mouth: “I don’t want to come back from the tour and find that Hailie has already grown up”.
Hailie Jade Mathers, his daughter, was then at the age when each month changes an entire childhood. Eminem preferred not to miss that, even if the price was eight figures.
The story, told in 2019, keeps being repeated today because it touches on something money can’t buy: time with children doesn’t come back.
