Gonzalo was 2 years old when he went to the emergency room at Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital, in Seville, with a high fever, vomiting, nosebleeds, and tremors. He was sent home with a mild diagnosis. Hours later, he collapsed.

His family rushed back. What happened next is what hurts the most: he was transferred in an ambulance without a doctor, without being intubated, ignoring that the public Virgen del Rocío hospital was only 5 minutes away. Gonzalo went into cardiorespiratory arrest during the trip. He didn’t make it. 💔

The team that received him said it was preventable. The criminal case was shelved. His parents are now fighting through civil court. Who should be held responsible for this?
