She was 25 years old, and the whole world was watching her. She had just premiered “Dune” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, attended the Venice Film Festival, and at the peak of her career decided to talk about something many celebrities prefer to hide. In an interview with British Vogue, she confessed that the pandemic brought her first episode of sadness that was difficult to process, one she didn’t know how to name until she began working through it with a professional.

In those sessions, she doesn’t just talk about anxiety. She also confronts her relationship with money, something rarely associated with someone so successful. That’s why her words carry a different weight. If you have the means to go to therapy, you should do it, she said, without guilt and without filters. She called it “something beautiful”, working on oneself. And in the process, without meaning to, she put an uncomfortable truth on the table: taking care of your mind is also a privilege that not everyone can afford.
