Hunter Schafer didn’t mince words. The actress, known for her role in Euphoria, revealed in an interview published by ELLE on October 19, 2026, that she had gender-affirming genital surgery in December 2025.
“I had genital surgery in December, it was incredible and I love it”, she said. In the same conversation, when talking about how she currently experiences her identity, she was just as clear: “I am a woman. I am a girl”.
The actress also said that during her recovery she had to limit herself to about 150 steps a day and that, after keeping the procedure private for months, she has now decided to share it publicly. 💖
