“I think I cried myself to sleep because it is something I have always wanted”, confessed Tyliq, a 23-year-old trans man who became pregnant after an artificial insemination process.
Tyliq began his transition as a teenager and years later decided to fulfill one of his biggest dreams: becoming a father. As he shared on the program My Extraordinary Family, he achieved the pregnancy after making two insemination attempts at home with a close donor.
As he explained, the doctors always respected his identity as a trans man and supported him throughout the entire process.
“They know that I am transgender and I can still carry my child”, he said in the video that quickly began circulating on the internet and left thousands of users surprised.
“I just want to give my daughter a great childhood”, said Tyliq, who is currently continuing to show his process and speak about the difficulties and prejudices he has faced.
