Jeremy and Christine Moody apologized to the judge, but it did no good.
The South Carolina couple, linked to the white supremacist group Crew 41, had killed Charles Parker, 59, a registered sex offender, and his wife Gretchen, 51, who had no criminal record, in July 2013. They entered their home in Jonesville after pretending to have car trouble in front of the house. Surveillance cameras captured them, and the Parkers invited them inside. They were found dead, stabbed and shot.
On May 6, 2014, they pleaded guilty. At the start of the hearing, they asked for 30 years in prison so they could watch their children grow up and grow old together, but Judge Lee Alford imposed the maximum sentence: two consecutive life sentences. That was when the couple stopped acting and showed their true selves.

“”I have no regrets. Killing that pedophile was the best day of my life,”” Christine confessed during the trial. “”See you later, perverts,”” Jeremy shouted to the relatives after the sentence was handed down. Before saying goodbye, they kissed in the courtroom.
Gretchen was not on any registry. Prosecutor Kevin Brackett said they killed her only because she was with her husband. Jeremy called her a “casualty of war”. When he was arrested, police found the name of another sex offender written down, whom he planned to go after next.
