“I thought genetics meant I’d never have abs, but now I’m in great shape—and it hasn’t been thanks to the gym”

Sophia Moulson was convinced of one thing: genetics had denied her abs forever.

At 23, this English woman, who now lives in Thailand, reached 76 kilos and wore size 47 after months of eating entire pizzas, French fries, and half a liter of Coca-Cola in a single night. The stress and poor diet took their toll: her hair was falling out in clumps in the shower, and she avoided going out because she was embarrassed to be seen.

The turning point came when she could no longer fit into her clothes. In September 2023, she committed herself to the gym, adjusted her diet to 2,000 calories a day of chicken and rice, and lost 19 kilos, bringing her weight down to 52. Today, she trains four times a week, walks up to 12,000 steps a day, and works as an online personal trainer. Her discovery was simple but powerful: abs aren’t built in the gym; they’re built in the kitchen.
