North West is 13 and already thinking about her first paycheck.
In her interview for the fall cover of Dazed, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West said that music is what she wants to do with her life, but that she also dreams of something much more down-to-earth: “I want to work at Starbucks next year, when I turn 14. I want to have a normal job”, she said, laughing, when the journalist asked her what she would do if she weren’t an artist.
The statement sparked a curious debate 🧐. Several chains require applicants to be at least 16 to hire baristas, although California does allow employment starting at 14. Meanwhile, North has already released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, and made her solo debut at the Summer Smash festival. It seems that between tours and classes, she also wants to learn how to make a latte ☕💛
