Siân Robinson never saw it coming on the scales.
The 33-year-old nurse from Worcester came to weigh almost 183 kilos. Her day started with a McDonald’s breakfast, continued with Greggs at lunchtime and ended with a Domino’s family-sized pizza, all interspersed with endless chocolate and biscuits.

In March 2024, she travelled to Disney World in Florida and had to use a mobility scooter because walking around the parks had become impossible for her. She stopped using public transport out of embarrassment and began avoiding her friends, fearing their looks.

The final blow came in a slimming group, when the person weighing her looked at her and blurted out: “Oh my God, Siân, I didn’t recognize you, you’ve gotten so big”. That comment, along with her engagement to Matt, her partner of 13 years, pushed her to try Mounjaro in November 2024 as a last resort before surgery.

Today she weighs 15 stone (around 96 kilos) and has lost more than 87 kilos in total. Next month she is returning to Disney with a simple plan: walk around every park without a scooter.
