Kelly Brook, 46, says it without mincing words: in 2007, when she was at her lowest weight, she was the unhappiest she had ever been.

It was the year she lost her father, and her slender body reflected not peace but pain. Since then, the British model has rebuilt her relationship with food and the mirror: today she describes herself as happy at a size 12, refused to lose weight before her wedding to Jeremy Parisi, and even ran the London Marathon despite a stress fracture in her foot.

Recently, she and her husband underwent a full-body MRI, a check-up that—she confesses—made her anxious before the results.

Even so, she continues choosing core workouts, cooking homemade broths, and walking her dog over any crash diet. While the world of show business celebrates extreme thinness, she has built her own definition of health.
