Students at Regina school, in Argentina, experienced a moment they will hardly forget. In the middle of the school day, the children received a video call from the players during the World Cup.
The surprise was made possible thanks to an educational project about the World Cup promoted by the teachers. One teacher, who is in contact with someone close to the squad, asked whether it would be possible to get a greeting video for the students.
The response was much better than expected: the players agreed to connect live with the children. “The project was so that the kids could get to know other countries, but also so that they would come motivated”, explained one of the teachers.
The video call left scenes full of emotion, with the students applauding, shouting, and greeting their idols from the classroom. “I was very happy and excited”, said one of the children.
