A young woman identified on social media as “Filha da Beyoncé” posted two photos of her leg covered in red welts after spending the night at her boyfriend’s house. The question “what could this be, my God?” became the echo of thousands of comments.
Many women replied that they experienced the same thing the first time they visited their partner, and spoke of hives caused by anxiety or stress, a real reaction in which the skin releases histamine without any physical allergy involved. Other users, however, insist on less scientific theories about what may have happened that night.
Experts say it could be due to a type of hives caused by consuming some food or medication that triggered an allergy.
