The boy who filled his room with posters of CR7 and managed to share the field with his idol 🐐⚽

In Bondy, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Paris, a boy covered every inch of his room with posters of Cristiano Ronaldo. He was not just any fan: he was a promise he made to himself every night before going to sleep.

That boy was named Kylian Mbappé, born on December 20, 1998 into a family of athletes: his father Wilfried was a soccer coach and his mother Fayza played handball.

Years later, already turned into a global star, he would say it with the same conviction as always: “I will always follow in the footsteps of my idol Cristiano Ronaldo”.

Mbappé faced his idol on 5 occasions and his dream came true; today Portugal fell to Spain, making it impossible for Mbappé and CR7 to meet again, but the boy with the posters now plays on equal terms with the man who inspired him.
