Tired of failed dates, false promises, and everyday fights, a 24-year-old woman named Kshama Bindu decided to nip the problem in the bud and take drastic action: vow eternal love at the altar to the only person who would never break her heart or forget to wash the dishes… herself!

The young woman made history with India’s first “sologamy” wedding, organizing an event with all the trimmings: a traditional bridal gown, sacred rituals, flowers, dreamy photos, and, of course, a banquet where no one complained about the menu. As if that weren’t enough, she packed her bags to enjoy a romantic two-week honeymoon at the beach, where the only agreement was not to fight over who got to keep the blanket in the middle of the night.

Although her decision sparked a wave of comments, laughter, and astonished faces on social media, she maintains that it was the ultimate act of self-love and a way of showing that you don’t need anyone else to achieve complete happiness (or to pay for half the party).

The ultimate expression of self-love, or the best way to save yourself from relationship drama for life?
