Lana Rhoades rose to worldwide fame in the adult entertainment industry, but years later she admitted that there is one part of her past she wishes she could erase from the internet.

In a 2021 interview on the Tap In podcast, the former American adult film actress explained that she regrets that period of her life and would like to remove the videos that are still circulating on various platforms. However, she acknowledged that she does not own the rights to many of those recordings.

“If I could go back, I’d give everything to get my dignity and respect back, and so people couldn’t see me that way”, she confessed.
Rhoades has also spoken publicly about the difficult experiences she had in the industry and the emotional consequences they left her with.
Her statements raise a question that goes far beyond her personal story: should a person have the ability to erase from the internet a period of their life they no longer want to define them?
