Pau Cubarsí, 19, did not always dream of lifting trophies. During his summers in Girona, among saws and planks, he helped (or rather got in the way, as he himself says) at the carpentry workshop of his father Robert and his uncle. 🪚
Today he is a cornerstone of FC Barcelona and the Spanish National Team, but he never lost sight of his roots. “If football doesn’t go well one day, carpentry will always be there”, he confessed to El Mundo, with the calm of someone who knows he has a place to return to.
Behind that humility is his mother, Gloria, who according to him “keeps a very close eye on him” so that he does not stray from the right path. And in Girona, among friends with the same haircut, he still manages to go unnoticed. That is Cubarsí: a star who never stopped being a neighborhood kid. ❤️
