Everything changed during a live broadcast on TikTok, when he uttered phrases that no editing could soften: “If we take care of our physique, it was not to get a fat girlfriend”. And he continued: he said he would be disgusted to date a woman who did not know how to pronounce the letter “r”. To wrap up, he stated with complete certainty: “I kill myself training, I kill myself eating well to date someone who does not share my habits; it is not for me”.
The video quickly went viral, and criticism came from all sides, labeling his words as discriminatory toward women. The pressure on social media escalated so quickly that Escobar Sosa ended up leaving the club. Days later, he himself confirmed that he no longer belongs to Coyotes and that he was looking to continue his career in Guadalajara, in the Third Division.
