Kelly Osbourne didn’t measure her words. During the August 4, 2015 episode of ‘The View’, she asked the question that would haunt her for years: if Donald Trump expelled all the Latinos from the United States, who would clean his bathrooms?
The awkward silence lasted seconds. Rosie Pérez, her fellow panelist, corrected her immediately in front of the cameras. Later, thousands of users compared her comment with Trump’s own rhetoric, and with an apology on Facebook that sounded more like an excuse: she admitted it was a ‘poor choice of words’, but insisted that she wasn’t racist. To make matters worse, she even added that she cleans her own bathrooms 🚽.
Years later, when the clip resurfaced as a meme on TikTok, Osbourne herself described it differently: ‘the most embarrassing moment of my entire life’. Sometimes shame is late, but it arrives. 😅
