Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, Priscilla Presley’s son, wants to open a small pizza business at the entrance to his home in Los Angeles. For the industrial oven he needs, he launched a $5,500 GoFundMe campaign. He has already put up $3,000 out of his own pocket, but that did not stop the flood of criticism.
“Your mother, Elvis’s widow, can lend you that without batting an eye”, many people repeat on social media. He responded on Instagram: he is not pressuring anyone, he offers pizza to anyone who donates, and clarified that this is about his personal budget, not his family’s fortune.

Where is the line between asking for help transparently and taking advantage of having a famous last name nearby? What about you—would you donate to him or tell him to call his mom?
